Vaffushi reef

This dive site, Vaffushi reef, is located on the southern side of the You&Me resort in the Maldives, accessible by a 25-minute boat ride. It features a gentle slope adorned with hard corals, transitioning to a sandy bottom at 18 meters where distinct coral blocks are scattered. The navigation is straightforward, following the natural contours of the reef. The reef is teeming with diverse marine life, including vibrant schools of blue-stripped snappers, elusive lobsters, elegant sting rays, various snapper species, and graceful turtles. During the manta season, it offers a remarkable opportunity to encounter magnificent reef mantas. The best time to visit Vaffushi reef for manta sightings is during the designated manta season. This site is excellent for both scuba divers and freedivers due to its moderate depth, calm conditions, and rich biodiversity. Divers should consider bringing a wide-angle lens to capture the potential encounters with large marine life.
