About this dive site
This dive site is an artificial wreck located on the west coast of Espíritu Santo Island, specifically in front of El Corralito. It’s a fascinating piece of maritime history; formerly a Chinese cargo ship attempting to transport undocumented passengers to California, it suffered mechanical failure and drifted until intercepted by the Mexican Navy. The Navy then generously donated the vessel to create this artificial reef. The wreck sank on November 18, 1999, and is now teeming with marine life – a popular destination for wreck divers eager to explore its interior. Visibility ranges from approximately 48 to 66 feet. Expect to encounter various fish species within the wreck.
