This dive site presents the wreck of the steamship Tihani, a fascinating piece of maritime history. Built in Trieste in 1908, the Tihani served as a transport vessel for engine oil and coal. In 1917, due to adverse navigation conditions and severe weather, it tragically ran aground near Island Mamula and subsequently sank. The wreck now rests on a sandy seabed at a depth of approximately 40 meters. Remarkably, despite spending over a century underwater, the ship remains in excellent condition. It offers an intriguing opportunity for divers to explore a well-preserved relic of the early 20th century.
