About this dive site

This dive site, known as Robs Bottom, offers a remarkably diverse underwater experience. The area is characterized by a vibrant reef teeming with schooling fish and potholes that provide shelter for various marine creatures including morays, shrimp, lobsters, and crabs. A fascinating feature of Robs Bottom is its unusual abundance of large species, frequently hosting sightings of mantas, smalleye stingrays, whale sharks, diverse shark populations, and even humpback whales. The site includes a deep water drop-off circling the plateau's edge, as well as cleaning stations easily accessible from the surface. It’s considered an anomaly due to these frequent large animal encounters. This dive is strongly recommended for experienced divers comfortable with exploring challenging terrain and seeking adventure.
