This dive site offers a varied underwater experience. The terrain includes reefs, channels, and sandy areas, providing an enjoyable exploration for divers. A diverse marine ecosystem thrives among the rocks, featuring Paua shellfish, sea urchins, crayfish, octopus, and numerous species of fish. Occasionally, schools of Koheru (likely meaning Cowfish) and other interesting creatures attract divers back to Rocky Bay. Access to the site requires careful navigation over jagged rocks; it is recommended only for those with good balance and experience.
