About this dive site
This dive site is the Coron Virgin, an old sand barge that sank off the coast of Coron Island. The vessel was reportedly involved in illegal sand harvesting and transporting it to Manila before encountering shallow rocks and ultimately sinking on a reef slope. Now several years underwater, the wreck has become colonized by both hard and soft corals, creating a fascinating environment for divers. Located towards the southern tip of Coron Island, this site is frequently explored in conjunction with the Cathedral Cavern dive location. The depth of the wreck isn't precisely known, but it’s situated on a reef slope, suggesting potential challenges depending on visibility.
