Pescador Island is renowned as one of the finest diving destinations in Moalboal, consistently ranked among the top dive sites globally. Located in Basdiot, a distance of 4 kilometers from Panagsama Beach, accessible by banca boat (approximately 11 minutes), this island offers an exceptional underwater experience. The island’s history is intertwined with local legends of supernatural protection, adding to its mystique. The site features a dramatic north and west wall characterized by steep slopes in the south, culminating in 'The Cathedral,' a remarkable rock formation. Snorkeling opportunities are excellent. Divers can comfortably explore depths ranging from 7 to 20 meters, enjoying visibility between 10 and 30 meters. Currents are typically light, between 0 and 3 knots. The marine environment is incredibly rich, boasting an estimated 450 species of hard coral, along with a diverse array of fish including pyramid butterflyfish, tuna, nudibranchs, snake eels, frogfish, barracuda, and even white-tipped reef sharks.
