This dive site, known as Hańcza Parking 1, offers an excellent shore diving experience in Poland's Lake Hańcza. Divers can easily access the water from a dedicated parking lot equipped with tables for gear assembly. The main attractions are the distinct 'cupolas' and a prominent clay wall, with the southern side providing an easier entry point to explore these formations.
The site is particularly famous for its abundant small marine life. Divers exploring near the wall will encounter countless crawfish, which are most active after dark as they emerge from their cavities to feed. Various aquatic plants, including what is described as 'mint,' also thrive here, contributing to the site's unique ecosystem.
For the best experience observing crawfish, visit after sunset when they are most visible. This site is suitable for divers of all levels due to its easy access and moderate depths. Freedivers will also find the wall and cupolas intriguing for breath-hold exploration. Be prepared for colder freshwater conditions typical of Polish lakes.
