This dive site, Siecino House Reef, is located in the exceptionally clear waters of Lake Siecino, Poland. It offers a convenient entrance from the shore via a good quality jetty, making it an ideal location for entry-level training dives and refreshing basic skills. Underwater navigation is generally straightforward due to the shallow maximum depth of 10 meters and good visibility, providing a relaxed environment for exploration of the lake's bottom.
The lake boasts a rich underwater ecosystem. Divers frequently encounter Perch, Roach, and Pike, while more elusive species such as Burbot, Eel, and Tench can also be observed. Crawfish are a common sight, adding to the diversity of small marine life. The clear water allows for excellent viewing of these freshwater inhabitants in their natural habitat.
The best time to visit Siecino House Reef is during the warmer months, typically from late spring to early autumn, when water temperatures are more comfortable. This site is highly suitable for both scuba divers and freedivers due to its shallow depth and calm conditions. Its 'house reef' nature means easy, repetitive access for training and casual dives, though divers should be prepared for typical freshwater conditions, which may include cooler temperatures compared to marine environments.
