About this dive site

This dive site, Rabo de Asno, is located in the Farilhões Islands, Portugal, and is characterized by a large rock formation teeming with marine life. Divers descend to a maximum depth of 30 meters, exploring a wide, sinuous cave that cuts through the entire rock. Navigation inside the cave requires good buoyancy control and the use of dive lights to illuminate the gorgonians and other marine life covering the walls and ceiling. The entry and exit points of the cave should be carefully noted to avoid disorientation.
