About this dive site

This dive site is located near the bathing area of Reis magos in Caniço, offering easy access by boat and shore. The underwater landscape features a natural rock wall extending from 6 meters down to 16 meters on a sandy bottom. This sheltered location makes it ideal for divers of all experience levels, from beginners seeking a gentle introduction to diving, through to more experienced explorers wanting to discover new areas. During the dive, you can encounter various marine life including Damselfish (Abudefduf luridus and Chromis limbata), green fish (Thalassoma pavo), arrow crab (Stenorhynchus lanceolatus), Cleaner Shrimp (Lysmata grabhami), flat fish (Bothus podas), and mullets (Mullus surmuletos). A truly special feature of this dive is the opportunity to observe seahorses (Hippocampus ramulosus) – one of the few known habitats for these fascinating creatures in the area. The site transforms beautifully as the sun sets, providing a particularly appealing experience for night dives.
