About this dive site
This dive site is located in the Straits of Tiran, representing the most northerly reef within this area. Divers typically access it via moorings on the south side, which offers protection from prevailing swells and currents. The boats find a sheltered mooring spot approximately 40 meters from the wall. Descending along the wall to around 6 meters reveals a gentle slope leading towards the southwest corner, renowned for its exceptionally vibrant corals. Be aware that the current can intensify in this area, requiring careful navigation back to the boat. Returning through shallow inlets filled with soft corals provides an excellent location for completing the safety stop. Alternatively, divers can undertake a drift dive heading east from the mooring, maintaining the reef on their left side. This drift is predominantly wall diving and offers abundant coral life, though it may become quite fast in rough surface conditions, necessitating caution due to potential difficulties for the boat during pick-ups.
