About this dive site

This dive site, known as Les Jumelles (The Twins), features two historic trawler wrecks resting 3.5km from the Oceanium Diving Centre. The wrecks lie at a maximum depth of 21 meters, with parts rising to 15 meters, offering an engaging exploration of their structure and the surrounding seabed. The site provides a unique 'synchronized dive' experience, exploring two significant artificial reefs that have become vital habitats.

The Jumelles wrecks are vibrant with marine life. Divers can expect to encounter large species like tiger rays, badèche, blue-spotted red grouper, and bronze-spotted grouper. Smaller reef inhabitants include paddlefish, soldierfish, trumpetfish, and butterfish, creating a dynamic underwater ecosystem around the sunken vessels.

While specific best times to visit are not detailed, wreck diving sites are generally enjoyable year-round, weather permitting. Good buoyancy control is recommended for exploring the wrecks, ensuring safety and minimizing disturbance to the delicate marine environment. The site's depth range makes it suitable for both experienced divers and guided beginners.
