This dive site, known as Dau Petit or The Small Dice, is a renowned underwater pinnacle located just outside the port of Ibiza. It offers a multitude of exploration paths, ensuring a unique experience on each visit. The dive centers around a compact rock formation, which acts as a vibrant hub for marine life, creating one of Ibiza's most visually stunning underwater landscapes.
Divers at Dau Petit can anticipate an explosion of marine diversity. The site is home to impressive barracudas and tuna, while the rocky crevices shelter moray eels, conger eels, and lobsters. Scorpion fish and octopuses are commonly spotted amongst the terrain, alongside an endless array of different small fish species that contribute to the site's rich biodiversity and brilliant colours.
The ideal time to experience Dau Petit is generally from late spring through early autumn, when the Mediterranean waters are warm and marine activity is at its peak. Its moderate depths make it exceptionally well-suited for both scuba divers of all levels and freedivers. The abundant and varied marine life, coupled with the picturesque underwater scenery, makes it an excellent location for underwater photography and an unforgettable dive experience.
