About this dive site

This dive site is the Don Pedro wreck, located just outside the port of Ibiza, Spain. It's the largest wreck dive in the Mediterranean, offering a challenging and rewarding experience for advanced and expert divers. The wreck itself is substantial, providing ample opportunity for exploration and penetration (if appropriately certified). Navigation requires attention to detail, as currents can be unpredictable, and the site's layout demands careful planning and execution.

The abundant marine life is a significant draw. Divers can expect to encounter barracudas, tuna, moray eels, conger eels, scorpion fish, and a vast array of smaller fish species. The wreck structure itself provides habitat for a diverse community of organisms.

The best time to visit is during the warmer months (May-October) when the water is clearer, and the marine life is most active. However, be prepared for potential currents that can make this site challenging even in calmer periods. Visibility generally remains very good. This dive is strictly for experienced divers and is not suitable for snorkeling or freediving due to the depth and potential currents.
