About this dive site

This dive site offers a remarkably vibrant underwater experience, consistently presenting clear visibility. The dive begins over a sandy channel originating from San Andrés Island and heading north; it gradually descends to depths of 12 to 20 meters. This channel is protected by two extensive meadows of seaweed (poseidonia), which help mitigate potential currents. A significant step-down leads to an area filled with scattered rocks, providing shelter for diverse marine life, including schools of conger eels, groupers, moray eels, and lionfish. Smaller creatures like fire worms, shrimp, and crabs are abundant if you take your time exploring this site. An enormous anchor is encountered before returning to the boat. Occasionally, barracuda and triggerfish can be spotted patrolling areas where schools of sardines congregate.
