The best time to visit El Curioso is likely during the warmer months (May to October) when the water is calmer and visibility is typically better. Flashlights are always recommended for exploring the rocky nooks and crannies. The site is very suitable for freediving due to its shallow depths and generally calm waters, but care must be taken even in these calmer conditions. For scuba divers, this is a perfect place for an easy but enjoyable dive.
