About this dive site

This dive site presents an archeological wreck, easily accessible at a depth of 6 meters. It’s particularly well-suited for introductory dives and initial underwater training experiences. The wreck is believed to be a French galleon that was intentionally sunk by the French forces themselves to evade capture by the English who were protecting Gibraltar. This historic ship carried cannons and remnants of military equipment, including buckles and buttons – bronze artifacts preserved from the aftermath of the storm. These items offer a glimpse into the lives of the French soldiers who served during that era.
