This dive site, known as El Turó Blau, is a beautifully shaped offshore bar located in front of the port of Llavaneres, very close to the Plaer del Vell site. It is characterized by its porous rock structure, offering an infinity of crevices and ledges that invite exploration and discovery. Underwater navigation primarily involves exploring the contours and features of this distinct rock formation.
The site is home to a variety of typical Mediterranean fauna. Divers can expect to find an abundance of smaller marine life such as lobsters, hermits, and various species of Mediterranean reef fish seeking shelter and food within the numerous nooks and crannies of the rock bar.
El Turó Blau is best visited during the warmer months, typically from summer to early autumn, when water temperatures are more pleasant and sea conditions are generally calmer. Its moderate depths make it suitable for both scuba divers of all levels, including beginners, and freedivers looking to explore the interesting topography and search for marine life.
