About this dive site
This dive site, La Llosa 2, is a wall dive located a short distance from Llosa in Spain. The dive begins at a shallower depth and descends along a wall to a maximum depth of 26 meters. The wall itself is a stunning feature with impressive vertical relief, offering plenty of exploration opportunities and diverse habitats for marine life. Navigating the dive is relatively straightforward, following the wall down, but divers should pay attention to depth and potential currents.
The marine life is abundant and varied. The site is known for its impressive displays of yellow gorgonians which create a vibrant and colorful landscape. In addition to these beautiful corals, divers can expect to see a large number of lobsters, conger eels (Conger conger), and three-tailed anthias (Anthias anthias). Other fish species are also common in this area.
The best time to visit La Llosa 2 is likely during the warmer months (spring to autumn) when visibility is typically better and the water is warmer. Stronger currents may be present at certain times of the year; divers should check local conditions before diving. Given the depth, this site is not suitable for freediving or snorkeling. It is recommended to dive with a buddy and to be appropriately equipped for the potential currents and depth.
