This dive site, known as Pared Amarilla or the Yellow Wall, is situated to the east of the Palomas Cave within the protected Cerro Gordo Natural Park in Spain. It offers a unique wall diving experience, being the deepest point in the park, reaching a maximum depth of 19 meters. The dive is primarily characterized by its striking underwater topography, featuring walls adorned with vibrant marine life.
The most notable features of Pared Amarilla are its extensively covered walls, which are vividly lined with orange coral. This thriving environment attracts a variety of marine species, with divers frequently encountering numerous groupers and elegant conger eels inhabiting the cracks and crevices of the wall.
The best time to visit this dive site for optimal conditions, including warmer waters and excellent visibility, is typically during the late spring to early autumn months (May to October). Its moderate depth and rich marine life make it an ideal location for both scuba divers of all levels and freedivers seeking an engaging underwater experience along a colourful wall.
