About this dive site
This dive site is a sheltered artificial bay offering safe and calm waters, ideal for both snorkeling with masks and fins, as well as scuba diving. The marine life is diverse and abundant; this protected area provides habitat for groups of salemas, sargos, galanas, the typical fulas, exotic and colorful pejeverdes, and even crabs like arañas (spider crabs), tapaculos, and occasionally dogfish. Access is from the same beach, allowing for a circular route as the bay’s shape encourages exploration. The area provides a pleasant experience of discovering its hidden corners while enjoying peace and quiet. The tranquil waters are excellent for observing characteristic species of the Canary Islands, making it an ideal location to learn to distinguish the variety of underwater fauna in Lanzarote. More adventurous divers can also explore the exterior of the breakwater.
