About this dive site

This dive site, Sa Farola, is located near a small beach offering easy access for beginner divers and those looking for a relaxed dive experience. The entry and exit are straightforward, making it ideal for try scuba dives and night dives. The underwater topography is relatively flat, with Neptune grass meadows providing habitat for a variety of marine life. Navigation is simple, following the gently sloping seabed.

The site is known for its diverse population of smaller fish. Schools of salema are a common sight, grazing amongst the Neptune grass. Other species frequently observed include white seabream, two-banded seabream, Mediterranean rainbow wrasse, ornate wrasse, striped red mullet, sea urchins, and sea cucumbers. These offer excellent opportunities for macro photography.

The best time to visit is during the warmer months, from late spring to autumn, when visibility is typically at its best and the water temperature is most pleasant. For freedivers, the shallow depth and calm conditions make it an excellent training location. For divers, this is a wonderful introduction to the underwater world of the Mediterranean.
