About this dive site

This dive site is located at the southern end of Xàbia Bay, near Cap Prim and a small islet. Divers can anchor in an area approximately 6 meters deep between these features. From this anchoring point, it's possible to descend to about 50 meters and discover two entrances leading into the Cueva de la Virgen (Virgin’s Cave). Careful navigation is advised within the cave, as particles from the seabed could reduce visibility. The cave offers a chance to encounter species like corvinas, forkbeards, groupers, conger eels, moray eels, octopus, and other denizens of darker areas such as wrens. At the cave's bottom, a painted tile depicting the Virgen de los Desamparados provides an interesting sight. Backlighting within the cave creates ideal conditions for photographers – though access should be swift. Upon exiting, follow the cave wall and continue descending to reach a depth of 22 meters.
