About this dive site

The dive site of Riedsort, located near Küssnacht am Rigi and Vitznau in Switzerland, offers a unique experience for divers. Access is gained via two entrances, one leading to the left (towards Vitznau) through a staircase, and another on the right (towards Weggis), which is recommended only for experienced divers due to its steep descent. The left entrance provides access to a dive area suitable for training purposes, featuring natural rock formations and seagrass beds. The right entrance leads directly into a steeply sloping terrain. A notable feature of this site is a large tree that stands vertically within the cliff face, visible after approximately 10-15 minutes of diving. Divers might have the chance to observe local freshwater fish such as Egli, perch, and trout. The area is popular with various recreational water sports enthusiasts. Strict behavioral rules apply to divers at all entrances.
