About this dive site

This dive site offers a unique and rewarding experience in the Maggia or Vercasca rivers. The area is known for its impressive formations, including polished stone features, fascinating light plays, and exceptionally clear, teifgrün (deep green) water. Divers have the opportunity to explore beneath a waterfall, providing a truly memorable underwater encounter. Furthermore, wildlife sightings within the river are common. To ensure safety, divers entering via the Tenga Strand must contact the local hydropower plant by phone before and after their dives. The telephone numbers are indicated at the beach and parking area. Water level and volume are also crucial factors for flushtouches. For additional information about diving in the Maggia or Vercasca, consult the SUSV (Swiss Underwater Society) or local dive shops. A restaurant near the parking area provides restroom facilities, and sand from your equipment can be rinsed off at a nearby fountain after the dive.
