About this dive site
This dive site is the HTMS Chang, a remarkable shipwreck located close to Koh Chang in Thailand. The ship sank on November 22nd, 2012, and has since transformed into a thriving artificial reef teeming with marine life. It’s considered the largest shipwreck in Thailand, measuring approximately 100 meters in length. Dive depths range from around 5 meters at the surface to 30 meters at the seabed. The top deck is situated at 20 meters, while the captain's cabin and mast are found at a depth of 12 meters. This wreck offers a spectacular diving experience with a diverse array of fish including batfish, filefish, scorpionfish, barracuda, giant groupers, squid, and octopus. Regular sightings of whalesharks add to the allure, providing an unforgettable experience for divers and snorkelers alike. The area surrounding the Chang is perfect for combining dives with nearby sites such as Hin Luk Bath or Hin Raab.
