About this dive site

This dive site is located at Koh Tachai, an island offering a variety of dive locations suitable for divers of all experience levels. The main attraction is the Koh Tachai Plateau, a popular spot among local divers and known for its abundance of marine life. The plateau begins at 12 meters and descends to 40 meters, surrounded by dramatic granite boulders. Expect surprising encounters; oceanic manta rays frequently perform their mesmerizing dances here, and with a strong current, whale sharks may occasionally pass through. Deeper waters host leopard sharks and stingrays resting on the seabed. The reef is also home to sea snakes, zebra morays, lobsters, turtles, groupers, and various macro invertebrates. Blacktip and grey reef sharks are sometimes spotted. For photography enthusiasts, Koh Tachai boasts some of the largest and most beautiful fan corals in the Similan Islands National Park. If currents are calm, a guide may lead you along a coral alley to a hidden 'secret pinnacle'. Exploration is always rewarding.
