About this dive site
This dive site is the Similan Islands, a stunning archipelago located in the Andaman Sea, approximately 70 kilometers off the coast of Phang Nga Province. Established as a national park in 1982, this area encompasses 140 square kilometers, with 26 square kilometers consisting of land. The islands are renowned for their exceptional marine biodiversity, boasting vibrant hard and soft coral reefs alongside crystal-clear waters and picturesque white beaches. These islands present unique underwater landscapes characterized by impressive rock formations—particularly huge boulders—shallow depths, and lush tropical forests. It is widely considered one of the world’s premier diving destinations.
