About this dive site

This dive site, located to the east of Heybeli Island, offers a unique historical experience. Historically used as a shelter for ancient sailing vessels seeking refuge from westerly winds, it's now a fascinating underwater archaeological location. The seabed is home to remnants from the Lycian and Ottoman periods, including old anchors and broken amphorae – fragments of ancient trade pottery. The depth range at this site varies between 5 and 17 meters.
