About this dive site

This dive site, Sidi Soliman's Reef, is located opposite the center of Sidi Soliman, Tunisia. It's a shallow, easily navigable reef perfect for introductory dives. The site is characterized by its gentle slopes and lack of strong currents, making it exceptionally safe and accessible for beginners and children. There are no known historical stories or significant historical events associated with the site; its appeal lies purely in its accessibility and the diverse marine life it supports.

The underwater landscape is teeming with various species of fish, including Sars, Merous, Mulets, Serrans Ecritures, Saupes, Orphies, Labres, Castagnoles, and Octopus. In addition to the fish, divers can also observe a rich variety of invertebrates such as Anemones and Sponges. The site provides good opportunities for macro photography of smaller creatures and nudibranchs within the reef structure.

The best time to visit Sidi Soliman's Reef is during the warmer months, from late spring to early autumn, when the water is clear and warm, and visibility is usually excellent. This is also the time when marine life is most active. Divers should bring underwater cameras to capture the abundant marine life, and snorkellers will also enjoy the shallow, clear waters. Freediving is also suitable here, provided that divers stick to shallow depths and always dive within their limits.
