About this dive site
Andark Lake offers a unique confined open water environment, specifically designed for divers seeking to enhance their skills and explore underwater features. The lake’s maximum depth is 7 meters, providing an accessible space for practicing buoyancy and navigating various obstacles. Two platforms are situated at approximately 1.2 and 3.5 meter depths, allowing divers to comfortably test their equipment and build confidence. The site includes a variety of interesting elements like tie-down points on the lake bottom, a mirrored wall for kit checks, and the preserved bow section ribs of a historic 17th-century barge – adding historical intrigue to the dives. A sunken jet-ski also provides an underwater challenge, while pontoon access ensures easy entry and exit. Beyond the underwater features, Andark Lake fosters a strong diving community with excellent onsite facilities such as changing rooms with showers, complimentary WiFi, a café, and a shop. It is a welcoming space where divers of all levels can connect, share experiences, receive advice, and support each other’s passion for water, nature, and the sport.
