About this dive site

This dive site is known as "Knacker Hole," a location steeped in local legend, possibly linked to tales of the mythical Kraken. Situated within one of the small bays of Beadnell, Northumberland, it offers an accessible and enjoyable diving experience for those seeking shallow waters. Entry and exit are straightforward, making it suitable for divers of varying experience levels. Expect to encounter fascinating marine life, including hermit crabs, schools of fish, scorpionfish, lobster, and dogfish. The rocky outcrops surrounding the site provide habitat for smaller invertebrates and creatures. Water temperatures range from 4°C to 17°C (39°F to 63°F) between May and October, with lower temperatures in winter.
