About this dive site

This dive site presents the wreck of the Rosalie, a British merchant vessel torpedoed in 1915 and now resting just off Weybourne beach. The wreck sits approximately 8 meters below the surface. This is a fascinating dive location, teeming with marine life including crabs, anemones, sponges, and various fish species. Diving at this site requires careful planning due to slack water conditions; it's best performed during low tide when the mast of the ship remains visible above the waves, aiding navigation. A walk along the shingle beach from Weybourne car park west (left) for approximately 600 metres will lead you to the wreck’s emergence point. Surface swimming is required to reach the site, covering roughly 10 minutes. Visibility is typically limited to summer months – generally between July and the end of October. Be aware that this dive involves a considerable walk on a shingle beach and a relatively lengthy surface swim, making it suitable primarily for experienced divers comfortable with longer swims.
