About this dive site

This dive site, also known as “Brown House”, is a vast north/south coral reef located off the coast of Florida. It's renowned for its easy drift diving experience, propelled by medium to strong currents, making it an exciting journey across the expansive reef system. Divers typically navigate by following the reef's structure as the current carries them along, enjoying the dynamic underwater environment.

The marine life at Beach House is diverse and abundant. Divers will encounter a profusion of barrel sponges and colorful gorgonians adorning the reef top. The cracks and ledges are home to numerous lobsters, while turtles can be spotted year-round. Large schools of tropical fish frequent the area, and many rays are often observed resting in the sandy areas to the west of the reef.

While visibility can vary with current conditions, the dive site offers excellent opportunities for wide-angle and macro photography. It's best enjoyed as a drift dive, minimizing effort and maximizing exploration. Divers should be comfortable with currents. Although specific best times aren't stated, the consistent presence of turtles suggests good diving opportunities year-round, making it a reliable spot for marine encounters.
