About this dive site

This dive site, Crescent Bay, offers a captivating underwater experience. The cove extends approximately one-quarter of a mile and is characterized by rocky formations on both its northern and southern ends, creating a diverse marine habitat. This location serves as the starting point for dives towards Seal Rock. Access to the beach is via a staircase located just west of Shaw’s Cove, easily found from the intersection of Fairview Street and Cliff Drive. Continue along Cliff Drive heading west, looping around to become Circle Way – a one-way street. The staircase begins shortly after halfway around the loop. Facilities at Crescent Bay include restrooms and outdoor showers, though access to the showers involves a short walk from the stairs. This site is known for its potential encounters with a wide array of marine life due to the varied rocky terrain. Visibility within the cove can vary.
