This dive site is renowned as one of Miami’s premier natural reefs, often overlooked by divers. Emerald reef stands out as potentially the largest of its kind in the area, boasting a complex structure with numerous large rocks offering shelter to a diverse array of marine life. It's particularly known for attracting lobsters, especially during the early part of the season. Divers have reported encountering a remarkable variety of Atlantic species on this reef – almost anything imaginable. The site provides excellent opportunities for close-up photography and macro exploration. Please note that this reef is delicate; exercise caution and avoid dropping anchors in sand upstream from the reef’s structure.
