About this dive site

This dive site is located at the Dewey Short Visitors Center beach, offering a diverse range of diving experiences accessible from shore. The area sits between the impressive 242-foot-tall Table Rock Dam and the Visitors Center building. Water depths range dramatically, from a shallow 20 feet to over 180 feet. The seabed consists primarily of rock and silt. A fascinating piece of local history surrounds this location: during past flooding events, the town of Oasis, Missouri, was submerged beneath approximately 100 feet of water. Experienced divers can explore Main Street, including a deteriorating wooden church – a unique wreck dive offering a glimpse into the past. Beyond the underwater exploration, visitors can also enjoy the Visitors Center, trout hatchery, state park, or take an amphibious tour on the Ducks, exploring the Branson area and the lake.
