About this dive site
This dive site features the bow of the RMS Rhone, a remarkable wreck that lies on its side. The ship’s condition is described as ‘as good as intact,’ presenting a compelling visual experience for divers. It's a gem of a wreck and resembles a true underwater ruin—even inspiring scenes from the movie "The Deep." The Rhone has been dramatically altered by an explosion, now spread out across the seabed. Divers can explore fascinating artifacts like remnants of a dance floor and the ‘lucky port hole,’ leading to a swim-through within the propeller. A vibrant array of marine life inhabits this wreck site, including lobsters, barracudas, and turtles. The contrasting elements on the bow create an exceptionally interesting dive.
