About this dive site

This dive site is a unique crater lake offering a distinct diving experience. The lake features shallow plains ranging from 3 to 7 meters deep, with walls descending to a maximum depth of 50 meters. Diving is generally best between March and October when visibility ranges from 3 to 20 meters. The water tends to be green, so allow your eyes time to adjust to the color. Summer conditions can result in poor visibility, making diving less enjoyable during those months. The lake hosts a population of fish, though they are rarely observed by divers. This location provides relatively safe diving conditions when sea state is rough. Light northerly or northwesterly winds are preferred for optimal diving. Access to the site is via the northern shore from Sadlers Road; park in one of the nearby carparks and walk along the shale shoreline to the entry point.
