About this dive site

This dive site offers a remarkably easy experience, perfect for beginners. Access can be made via a giant stride from the jetty or directly from the beach. The underwater environment beneath the jetty is teeming with life – you’ll find abalone, small crayfish, and an abundance of juvenile fish alongside plenty of fishing lures. A unique feature is the growth of anemones on the pylons and old tires, creating a captivating garden-like display. The site is best explored during periods of low swell and calm winds, excluding Southerly breezes. From the shore, divers can follow the reef to the left towards the pier; be sure to check out the old anchor as you head out. The reef itself hosts Nudibranchs and various fish species, while keeping an eye out for occasional rays – both Eagle Rays and Smooth Rays may be spotted beneath the pier. Be mindful of surge and potential big swells.

Visibility is good, though currents can vary. The area provides a diverse habitat with an abundance of marine life.
