About this dive site
The TSS Merimbula, a large twin-screw steamship, rests at 4-13 meters depth below Whale Point on Beecroft Peninsula, north of Jervis Bay. The bow sits on rocks with the wreck extending northeast. The exposed hull bottom lies on a rocky reef.
Midway along are two engines that fell outward from the ship, with prop shafts extending toward the stern. The port boiler lies next to its engine, while the starboard boiler is positioned aft.
A large anchor is visible near shore on the port side, with a winch between it and the boiler. The starboard side features unidentified machinery. Part of the stern rests on sand beyond the reef edge, aligned with the main wreckage.
