About this dive site
This dive site is located near the village of Rezovo, Bulgaria, and offers a unique opportunity to explore the remains of the cargo ship Sanni. The wreck occurred in December 2002 following severe weather that broke the ship’s anchor, leading to its destruction and sinking. Today, substantial portions of the vessel—over 40% of its wreckage—remain on the seabed, creating an artificial reef attracting a diverse population of fish. The dive offers exceptionally clear visibility along the Bulgarian coastline, making it ideal for underwater photography and observation. The ship's engine is still intact, adding to the site’s historical interest. Technical specifications include a maximum depth of 6 meters, a draft of 4 meters, and a displacement of 2562 tons. The vessel was originally built in 1968 as part of the Spartak class (1967-1974) and previously operated under names like PETR KAKHOVSKIY, SIMBA, PERLA, MANA MARIA, and most recently Sanni.
