Santo Antao

This dive site presents the wreck of the Santo Antão, a substantial vessel estimated at around 650,000 tonnes that sank in 1966. The wreck has broken apart into three distinct sections and rests on the seabed at a depth of 12 meters. Its complex structure offers numerous nooks and crannies which provide habitat for a diverse array of marine life including various fish species. Divers frequently encounter large stingrays and nurse sharks within this area. This site offers an exciting exploration opportunity due to its size and the potential for encountering fascinating sea creatures.
