About this dive site

This dive site presents the wreck of the Santo Antão, a substantial vessel estimated at around 650,000 tonnes that sank in 1966. The wreck has broken apart into three distinct sections and rests on the seabed at a depth of 12 meters. Its complex structure offers numerous nooks and crannies which provide habitat for a diverse array of marine life including various fish species. Divers frequently encounter large stingrays and nurse sharks within this area.
