About this dive site

This dive site offers a remarkably diverse underwater experience near Quebec. The area is teeming with life, often making it challenging to reach the bottom due to abundant sea urchins, feathery anemones, northern red anemones, and cerianthus – a truly arctic ecosystem in miniature. Guided outings are available through the Quebec Federation of Subaquatic Activities (FQAS) and the marine environment discovery center. The site features on-site facilities including equipment rinsing stations and hot showers. Currents vary with the tides, so it's important to check conditions before diving; they can change quickly. Divers may have the opportunity to drift between this location and neighboring sites – Baie des anémones and Crique Ouest – depending on tidal flows. During surface intervals, there’s a chance to observe whales or seals in the surrounding waters. The area is known for its rich marine biodiversity.
