About this dive site
This dive site offers an interesting experience for divers willing to navigate a somewhat challenging entry. Access is available via the slip or an old fishing building – it’s advisable to seek local permission before diving. The cove itself is relatively shallow, but provides ample opportunity for exploration. Two distinct areas present themselves: one leads directly outwards into large ripples and boulders, while the more popular route heads left from the cove's mouth, promising a rewarding dive with abundant marine life. Those comfortable with longer dives can explore rock valleys characterized by purple/pink hues. Parking presents a challenge; carpooling is recommended. Expect no restroom facilities at the site. Entry is easier during high tide, with two main access points marked on photographs. The area typically hosts lobsters and fish during warmer months, alongside sea urchins and minor kelp formations. Experienced divers might even discover an anchor from a local shipwreck. Visibility ranges from 9 to 12 meters, influenced by weather conditions like rain runoff, wind, and waves, with improved visibility often occurring during slack high tide. The maximum recorded depth is 18.3 meters.
