About this dive site
This dive site presents a captivating double reef system, forming a dramatic valley between the two structures. The area is teeming with small reef fish, notably creole wrasse. Divers may have the opportunity to encounter morays and flounders, and occasionally turtles or rays. A notable feature is the presence of reef balls used in habitat restoration during safety stops – keep an eye out for flamingos along your approach to the site. Porto Mari itself is a popular beach destination, offering full facilities and often experiencing higher visitor numbers on weekends and holidays. The entry into the water is relatively easy, consisting mainly of sand with some coral rubble; dive boots are recommended. Visibility will vary depending on conditions.
