About this dive site
This dive site is located just off the beach at LionsDive Beach Resort. It’s a fascinating dive with a rich history, having been created as an artificial reef using a sunken freighter that ended up deeper than initially planned – approximately 150 meters (450 feet). Upon entering, divers will find a shallow plateau to their right, characterized by a diverse range of both soft and hard corals. This plateau is also the site where the Coral Restoration Foundation established its initial coral nurseries. You’ll discover several restored Elkhorn and Staghorn corals thriving in the sandy areas and along the wave breakers. The dive continues with a gradual drop-off beginning at 8 meters (25 feet), which then transitions into a steep slope extending well beyond 50 meters (180 feet).
