About this dive site
This dive site is renowned as one of the world’s top ten wreck dives, consistently voted among divers. The Zenobia, a Swedish-built Challenger-class RO-RO ferry, sank on June 7th, 1980, resting on her port side between depths of 19 and 42 meters. This massive vessel carried over 100 vehicles and lorries when it tragically went down due to a software error affecting its computerized pumping system. The wreck now serves as an exciting habitat for diverse marine life. Divers can explore the exterior, encountering features such as two enormous propellers, roro doors, the transported vehicles, funnels, the bridge, cafeteria, bow area, and accommodation sections. It’s a fantastic location for experienced divers seeking challenging explorations, and also suitable for those completing their Advanced Open Water course. The site offers exciting technical diving routes allowing divers to hone their skills.
