This dive site is a beautiful shallow coral reef located conveniently close to Elgouna, making it easily accessible. The shallow entry makes it perfect for training dives and beginners. The reef itself is vibrant and teeming with life, offering a fantastic underwater experience for divers and snorkelers alike.

Marine life abounds at Gota El Dir, with sightings of clownfish, snappers, morays, anthias, pufferfish, schools of barracuda, parrotfish, and sergeant fish. Larger animals like eagle rays and dolphins are also frequently seen. The coral itself is healthy and diverse providing a beautiful backdrop to the abundant fish life.

The best time to visit is during the warmer months (April-October) when visibility is best and the water temperature is pleasant. For snorkelers and freedivers, this is an ideal spot with calm water and easy access to the shallow reef. It's recommended to check the current conditions before any dive.
